Why Adventure?

We feel this short video captures some of the reasons why adventure is so important in today complex world in a better way than we can explain, hope you enjoy it.

I guess the long and short of it is that if it feels like an adventure it is!

My personal thoughts are that our most enriching experiences are probably experienced as adventure, where there is a sense of excitement, the unknown and personal challenge.

We believe the great outdoors lends itself to providing adventure and creates an essential connection to nature

We work to promote outdoor adventure experiences as a potential source of self confidence, fun and personal growth.

What is Adventure

Here’s what a few others have to say about adventure!

It is only in adventure that some people succeed in knowing themselves – in finding themselves

Andre Gide

“One way to get the most out of life is to look upon it as an adventure”

William Feather

“It is only when we truly know and understand that we have a limited time on earth and that we have no way of knowing when our time is up that we will begin to live each day to the fullest, as if it were the only one we had.”

Elizabeth Kubler-Ross

“Security is mostly superstition. It does not exist
in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it.
Avoiding danger in the long run is no safer that outright exposure.
Life is either a daring adventure or it is nothing.”

Helen Keller

“You have plenty of courage, I am sure,” answered Oz. “All you need is confidence in yourself. There is no living thing that is not afraid when it faces danger. The true courage is in facing danger when you are afraid, and that kind of courage you have in plenty.”
L. Frank Baum (Wizard of Oz)

“I decided that adventure was the best way to learn…”

Lloyd Alexander

“Never forget that life can only be nobly inspired and rightly lived if you take it bravely and gallantly, as a splendid adventure in which you are setting out into an unknown country, to face many a danger, to meet many a joy, to find many a comrade, to win and lose many a battle.”

Annie Besant

“I believe that all of us have the capacity for one adventure inside us, but great adventure is facing responsibility day after day.”

William Gordon

“I have found adventure in flying, in world travel, in business, and even close at hand… Adventure is a state of mind – and spirit.”
Jacqueline Cochran
